Yes, my secret pal in the packing department was at it again. This haul came bundled in four bags for a total price of ... oops, lunchtime!

In true The City fashion we are quite chilly and bordering on drizzle for the Fourth of July picnic. Never one to be deterred, I set out with my fried cluck, baked beans, green salad and potato salad and found a nice dry spot... in the living room. I'll get back to you all after lunch. If you want, you can go away for an hour, or just pretend.

We-ell Doggies! as Jed Clampett would say. Those were some fine vittles. So where were we? Oh, yeah contest time:

Waterborne is celebrating her 5 year blogoversary by having a contest with 4 entry methods: Leave a comment, link to the contest, entries for referrals and entries for answering questions about her blog.

two black sheep are also having a contest. Leave a six word memoir of your life for a chance at a fantastic black-sheepy prize. Mine is "Damn, it's good to be ME!"

Well, that's all for now, I'll be looking forward to reading all of your holiday posts. Huh, what's that? Oh, you want some more Clarion Alley pics? OK!

Anything else? Oh, the thrift shop yarn? Yeah, I think I might try some overdying and I understand that nylon can be dyed with food coloring as well. Some of the novelty yarns are in for a shock! I've also got a couple skeins of R2 Paper, which is a nylon tape yarn, and I've been thinking of trying to dye that. I'm going to do a little more reading first. After all, that yarn up there cost me $9.96, I'm not going to blow that kind of money by not knowing what I'm doing!
