Beware The Ides Of July... Unless You Are Me!

Imagine my surprise (below, me looking surprised*)

when The Universe called to me last night (below, The Universe calling to me)
It seemed to be saying "Here, Kitty Kitty, I have some yarn for you!" Of course I had to investigate this, and when I did I told The Universe "Damn, Sam! Who you kidding, "some yarn"?

It turns out it wasn't that credit-grabbin' The Universe, it was Delusional Knitter who had Some Yarn for me! I'd won the drawing for a skein of my choosing from her brand new Etsy shop, Revelations of a Delusional Knitter Yarns!. And when you talk about this lady's beautiful and affordable hand-dyed treasures, you are indeed talking about SOME YARN. I can't show you the gorgeous Stormy Sky colorway I selected, because she removed it from the shop listings, but I promise you I will post it when it arrives. Until then, indulge yourself with a look around her shop.

So now you know why The Ides of July hold no fear for me, in spite of running into all these fierce characters during my walk today:
