Back from Mom's With A Killer Cold,..

... complete with fever, runny nose, hamburger throat and everything! I'm so happy! Because now I'm not allowed to leave the house. I can just stay here with my lovely, soft, luxurious, fluffy Arctic Muskox blend yarn from Qiviut Queen's shop, Cottage Craft Angora. In case you've forgotten, this is a special blend of 30% Qiviut- 20% merino- 20% Silk- 30% Baby Alpaca.

Yikes, all that luxury in one yarn? It's decadent, absolutely decadent. And it's mine!

This is a flash shot, (I'm so sorry it isn't better; the new camera fund was eaten up by another, more pressing need) I couldn't get the natural light to cooperate today. It went straight from gloomy grey overcast to glaring sunshine with no stops in between. I really wish you could see the detail of the two icy pink crystal beads, with raised cerise swirls and silver grommets. They are fabulous! Thanks again for this wonderful show of generosity!

Thanks are overdue to Kathleen at Knit Like You Mean It., where the pre-Englandization destash is still going strong. I've been selected for two more batches - but you'll have to wait to see them. As a repeat winner I've requested that any winnings be held then bundled together to save postage cost. Little did I know how much I'd be jonesing once I'd been chosen! There's still plenty of time for you to enter the frequent drawings, which now feature books as well as yarn!

Thank You also to Constantly Knitting at the 200 Shawls Project who has just celebrated her 1st Blogiversary. Being generous, she offered 4 prizes. Being her own sweet and uber-generous self, she has awarded prizes to all the entrants! I'm getting a lovely cowl pattern and yummy alpaca yarn.

I'm signing off now. I've got more yarn cuddling to do as I slowly slip into the icy grip of my malady. Don't worry, the yarn is safe.
