NOBLESSE OBLIGE
From Wikipedia:
Noblesse oblige is a French phrase literally meaning "nobility obliges".
The Dictionnaire de l’Académie française defines it thus:
1. Whoever claims to be noble must conduct himself nobly.
2. (Figuratively) One must act in a fashion that conforms to one's position, and with the reputation that one has earned.
Having moved on from my rant of a week ago, I was a little surprised to see another comment come in on that post:
Hello Mr Kitty.....i cant help feeling you have been cheated out of the prize....some people ! I have taken a look at your comment for our Qiviut floral hat competition and have decided to send you the yarn in your color choice & Thank you for the idea of knitting oodles of I-cord and knitting with it......what a fun idea ! Send me your address so i can mail off your yarns

I was amazed! I'd known that another lucky commenter was the winner of that competition at The Musk Ox - Qiviut blog, which is the blog for Cottage Craft Angora. So imagine my surprise when this amazingly generous lady tells me she is sending me "the yarn".
What does "the yarn" mean? Nothing less than her new line of Arctic Musk Ox yarns! A blend of 30% Qiviut- 20% merino- 20% Silk- 30% Baby Alpaca. If yarn were served in restaurants, this would top the dessert menu. Yummm. It is available in Natural or 11 delicious flavors colors, in 25 gram skeins of either 2 ply/200 Yards or 3 ply/80 yards. That's some dessert!
As inadequate as this is, Thank You, qiviut-queen. I cannot think of a finer example of Nobless Oblige, and if you were not already the queen, I would volunteer to be your campaign manager.
This is so kind and generous of you, and I must say, so much nicer than anything that could have come from the other company. I'm tingling with anticipation! And for everyone else who'd like to tingle, don't miss the latest giveaway on The Musk Ox - Qiviut blog, for a chance to win pattern and yarn to make gorgeous 100% Qiviut fingerless gloves!

I swear I'm going to be sick. My rant a while back (I did 3-in-1) didn't even get me an apology - from anyone. Let alone beautiful gorgeousness.
I'm with Vivianne - you step in $#!+ and come up with freshly shinola-ed shoes. And Qivuit? How? Congrats. Those are lovely colors, and

I so want to make a pair of the fingerless mitts with that yarn. If I don't win, I'll have to make a pair anyway. Thanks for the info about the contest.

Wow - that´s awesome, so great for you! Lovely colors as well..! :-)
Haha - you know; they weren´t beans, they were (directly translated) "burned almonds". Have no clue why they are called that since they´re not BURNED, however they are coated in some kind of sugar mix after they have been fried in that oil. Spells divine are tastes really well, though I wouldn´t eat too many. Do you have something like that?
What lovely goodies! Yum.
