It's Time To Thank A Few Folks

Thank You Betty of Binding Off, for this Fall 2011 issue of VK. It's full of wonderful patterns, here's the preview page. I really like the variegated yarn in the sleeveless shawl-collared sweater, but it just wouldn't look good on me. Betty and I both like the red cowl at the bottom of the page. Agreeing with me on this cowl is just one small example of Betty's excellent taste. Just look at some of her knitting and sewing projects on her blog.

I want to thank the folks at Knitting Daily for the season 7 DVD set of the Knitting Daily TV show. Since the digital switchover I can only catch this when I'm up at Mom's, so it's a real treat to have these to watch whenever I want.

Another Thank You to Leisure Arts for this set of Knook hooks. If you haven't heard yet, Knooking is a way to get knit fabric with crochet hooks. Check it out here

Finally thanks to the donators who left these treasures at the shops for me: Verena Winter '09, VK Fall '09 (these two have a few pages missing) VK Witer '08/'09, and 7 Family Circle Easy Knitting ranging from '99 to '04. 50¢ each. (As great as it is to find these bargains, it's such a rare treat to have a current magazine. Thanks again Betty.)
14 skeins Katia Flash Print 50gr, 74 yards, 50% Cotton, 40% Tactel Nylon, 10% Polyamide color 803. $4.49

You are most welcome. I'm thinking of making that cowl with some white yarn from my stash

Kitten isn't going to make anything; Kitten will add it to their already humoungous stash, which will fall over on him and suffocate him one day. He better have me down in the will ;-)

Hey Kitten, I want to send you some free yarn. I need to unload this stuff as it is acrylic and therefore has no stretch and wreaks havoc with my shoulders. You interested?
