Let The Trumpets Blare

DA-DA-DA-DA-DADA! The infection is cured, I am back among you. Let the trumpets blare:

I know this will break at least one heart. Strangely enough my thin-skinned friend from a few weeks ago returned to check my blog right before I was hit, and again while I was posting about the malware infection.

I know that she saw the kindness that Qiviut Queen showed me, and checked the comments left by everyone. Am I paranoid enough to think she had anything to do with it. Frankly, yes. Although I don't think she has the smarts, I do think she's mean spirited enough to try something like this. Well, sorry kiddo, but all's well with my world, how's yours?

Speaking of broken hearts, this tree was chopped down near a building renovation site. It wasn't cut to make room for the building, it's right at the curb. It may have been cut to make room for scaffolding, but there isn't any near it. Anyway, I love how it looks like a broken heart, but with a sort of devil's tail feature separating the lobes. From another angle it looks like there's another heart below it.

Shortly after it was cut down, this appeared:

Keep the stump? Or did someone finally get around to marking the tree to be saved and not cut down?

While at Mom's I tried to reverse the Tweedy Topper pattern into top down. I was working from memory and with the aid of the ones I'd alreay made Mom. It turned out ok, except the yarn didn't live up to it's gauge swatch. It's only 18" around, too small for Mom. We're both disappointed, as we both like the color I dyed this yarn. I hope whoever finds it on the street likes it as much.

WIth all the scanning and healing programs running, I had plenty of time for knitting. I've already got one and half of my three caps for the homeless this month. I never bother with photos of these, how many black watchcaps do you need to see? But I thought I would this time, as I have a colorful backdrop and prop to make the photo intersting.(ETA: This was supposed say "So why not just leave the hats out?" but only the ? made to the final post, until now. Give me a break, my computer's been sick.)

Well, you'd think with all the trumpets blaring and all the time I've been away, I'd have a more interesting post. Nope, this is it.
