Last week I came across a crew replacing a telephone pole. Pretty fascinating stuff. I hung around for a quite a while, but they weren't picking up the new, taller pole, and I had get to get going. They had to attatch the crossbars first, and were debating the best way to position the pole to accomplish that.
I came back the next day and found the poles with three staples holding them in this position, where they've remained for a week now. I'm glad my home isn't right next to them.

What lovely pictures! How funny that the squirrel seems to be in charge ... Loved the fish pix, it's so hard to get good pictures of fish. I tried to capture our grass carp this summer and it just looks muddy and ugly. Have fun at mom's?
That Japanese garden looks lovely; I can even tolerate the Koi carp :-)
