By Popular Demand / CushieBootie

By popular demand, we are pleased to bring you Mom in her new dress. Thank you everyone, for all the complimentary comments in the last few posts! Mom likes the dress, thank goodness. I could have gone for one more row of entrelac on the skirt, which would have added another 6", but I worried that over time it would "Ride down with wear" as we say at Grace Brothers, and start dragging on the floor.
This picture is more accurate colorwise.

Mom also got new booties and and a cushion cover. The cushion is Lion Brand Thick & Quick Chenille in Peacock, with embroidered sripes of random size dashes of the Lavender yarn from the entrelac cushion. The back is a solid blue fabric salvaged from the old cushion cover. The booties are cream worsted weight wool stranded with green and yellow sock yarns.

That's a nice fit. I'll be interested to know about the 'drag', that's something that puts me off knitted dresses/skirts - I'm too chicken to put in all that work and then find out it grows so badly I can't wear it ...
